Nicolas Pain
Marine Wildlife Sculptor and Diver

Nick Pain, Nicolas Pain, Nicholas Pain I am a keen scuba diver and my work is inspired directly by the marine wildlife that I encounter whilst diving. I am currently qualified to BSAC Advanced and IANTD Advanced Nitrox levels. I am a self taught sculptor having initially studied Graphic Design. I have also enjoyed a long and successful career in the video game industry.

My work is regularly exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists' annual exhibition as well as the David Shepherd annual exhibition both at the Pall Mall Galleries, London.

I dive all around the U.K and abroad with my partner and dive buddy Rose. Our favourite dive destinations are sites around Lamorna Cove in Cornwall and the St. Abbs marine reserve in Berwickshire.

The sale of my work has also helped me to buy a small RIB which has extended our diving range and we are now exploring the reef structures in North Wales' Cardigan Bay known as Sarn Badrig or St. Patrick's Causeway in search of new subjects as well as travelling aboard to encounter more exotic species.
